Dental Implant Surgery

Implant therapy, depending on the individual, every person is different in a case, but generally dental implant surgery is just one surgery. What that means is you’re coming in, we’re getting you numb, sedating you and actually doing the surgical part of placing the implants. That’s whether you have teeth involved and we have to take the teeth out or we’re having bone grafting, we like to put the implants in and do all the surgery at once so we get the surgery out of the way.

Later on if the implants are buried we can uncover the implants but generally that’s very minor. At the most I would say the majority, and when I mean the majority I’d say about 95% of the implants that we place here in our office, about 95% of those are done in one surgical visit.
