It’s absolutely changed my life. It’s given me a second chance to meet people.

My name is Mike and I came in to see Dr. Matiasevich about getting a second chance on my smile. My wife, Anna, she’s worked here for 10 years so it was a no brainer that I was going to come to Dr. Bob. For years I’d come to him before she was here so it was a very easy decision for me to make and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. It’s absolutely changed my life, it’s given me a second chance to meet people and have a lot of self confidence in myself to know that I can smile and they’re going to see a million dollar smile I guess you would say.

He’s done quite a bit of work on my mouth fixing fillings, caps and stuff but this last time I got all my teeth redone, a bunch of new caps and stuff. He’s actually in the process right now of finishing it, I haven’t got the finished product but I’m really happy with how it’s gone so far. I’m smiling a lot more than I was before, that’s for sure.

All my teeth now are in the process of being put, I guess they’re called caps, on over them. I was kind of scared to do it at first knowing how the process goes through where they grind your teeth down but it actually wasn’t bad at all. It was done before I knew it. I did have the nitrous gas I guess to help me settle to it; it went by really quick and was fairly painless. I was a little sore for a few days but I can’t be more happy than to have it done. It’s changed my life.

It’s made me smile a lot more, I would never smile before. In pictures I would smile with my mouth closed and I didn’t like having my teeth seen. I grinded my teeth at night and he changed my bite while he was doing this so I don’t do that anymore and just made me a lot more confident with my smile and my teeth because I didn’t like to show my teeth very much. If I smiled I’d usually cover my mouth or just smile like that so it made a big difference to how even talking with people I feel more confident in the way I look and being able to smile with them and talk directly with them instead of trying to cover my teeth the whole time, or being worried are they staring at my teeth.

When I was a kid I never liked going to the dentist, it was always kind of scary to me. I had a lot of cavities and stuff so dealing with the dentist was always anxiety to me, but Dr. Matiasevich always made me feel real at ease coming in here. It was a lot easier experience than I’ve had before.

I was a little bit scared of maybe the pain it might cause, or that maybe he’d find something when he was working on all my teeth, that he was going to find something really wrong with them. I think he found a couple of small cavities but he’s such a good guy and such a friendly guy so I knew that I was pretty set at ease coming in. Knowing him for as many years as I did I was pretty at ease with him. I knew if there was anything wrong he was going to take care of it and he would let me know in the easiest manner you can that you know, “you’ve got these messed up teeth and I’m going to take care of them.” Knowing him for so long it was a pretty easy process to go through for me.

You really can’t put a price on being able to smile. Like I said, it makes such a big difference in your life and everything that you do, whether it’s seeing family that I haven’t seen in a while and I’m so happy and smile and they say, “something’s different about you.” They can tell right off the bat. You can’t put a price on it, put it that way, to be able to smile and not feel self conscious about it, you don’t wonder if they’re staring at your teeth, now you feel that I hope they’re staring at my teeth because I feel pretty good about them. I am a happy guy, I’m a friendly guy but I just didn’t like to smile as much when my teeth weren’t as nice so it does make a big difference.
