Hi, my name is Anny. I’ve been working in the dental field for 12 years now. I started off as a dental assistant with Dr. Matiasevich and was able to go back to school to become a dental hygienist. At that point I was lucky enough to be rehired and have been working for him for 12 years now.

At the Santa Cruz Implant Dentistry office, working with Dr. Matiasevich, myself and him and our staff really try to work with anxious patients to let them feel comfortable and let them know that they’re not going to have any fears to worry about. We have oral conscious sedation so we offer a lot of tools to make them feel comfortable.

We always start with an extra-oral examination to make sure everything is healthy, starting with the lymph nodes, your jaw joints and we always do an oral cancer screening, no matter what. A lot of people have oral cancer and it’s pretty scary, so we always try and detect it the earliest and educate our patients to know what is normal and what is abnormal if they have any lumps and bumps.

We’ve done a lot of extra education with Dr. Matiasevich, going to a lot of courses so that we know what the earliest sign of periodontal disease is, gum disease, so if you have bleeding gums, sore gums, bad breath or odor. We always want everyone to be detected at the first stages so that we can treat it, get them healthy, educate them on how they can be healthy and know the signs to look for.

I’m married to a wonderful husband, Mike, we have two little girls, Isabella and Jenna. They are one and three years old so we spend a lot of time with them, going to the parks, going to the beach and just enjoying Santa Cruz and our friends and family.
